Below is a suggested chart. To know about the taxes a Community has to pay, <a href=\"https:\/\/adda.io\/blog\/2020\/07\/all-you-need-to-know-about-society-billing-and-accounting\/\">read this<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Q: Is there any legal recourse to deal with defaulters who are refusing to pay for years?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A: <\/strong>1. Get a consensus in the MC to pursue the defaulter legally.<br>     2. It is a good practice, to have a resolution passed in the AGM.<br>     3. Through the local Registrar of Societies send a Recovery Notice.<br>     4. Now the member is bound to give valid cause for non payment.<br>     5. The Defaulter is bound to obey the Registrar&#8217;s judgement.<br>     6. It becomes the job of the Recovery Officer to secure the payment.<br>     7. The Member can challenge the judgement in Co-op\/Civil courts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Q: What can be done if a Management Committee member is misusing or abusing the powers given to them?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A: <\/strong>1. The rest of the MC must address this issue.<br>     2. The alleged MC is also answerable for their actions in the AGM.<br>     3. If a resolution is still not reached, complain to the Registrar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Q: Does Internal Redressal Committee have any legal validation?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A: <\/strong>No. Such a committee is not mentioned in Co-operative Community laws.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2021 is set to be the year when gated community properties are set to see a rise in occupancy.
