Dear ADDA Patrons,
We are here to solve the problems of Apartment Complexes – and the biggest problem after Billing and Collection is Security. Time and again we have heard of Security Guards falling asleep at the Gate, or allowing miscreants enter the Gated Communities and allowing Shoes and Toys being stolen breaking many a feet and heart respectively.
Having solved problems at a Software level – for the first time we are venturing into the Hardware Realm – with the release of The ADDAbot (yes, Sean Parker has tipped us to drop the “The”, and of course we took his advice). While it resembles Marvin from The Hitchhiker’s Guide, The ADDAbot is a completely unique Bot that is connected to ADDA Server 24 x 7.

What does ADDAbot do ?
ADDAbot can do everything the Security Guard at the gate can do, and some more. ADDAbot raises and lowers the Boom Bar, gives a special salute to the Management Committee Members, whistles randomly in the night to ensure everyone “jaagte rahein”, asks the food delivery guy for what is in there.. Since ADDAbot is integrated with our Accounting Package plenty of interesting possibilities exist.

Here are some of the settings you can make ADDAbot Operate :
Puss-in-boots Mode
Remember Puss of The Shrek? – when he gives that poor thing look to get his job done – ADDAbot gives a similar look. When a Maintenance Fee Defaulter passes the gate, ADDAbot will give the same look that will melt the hearts of Defaulters – and they will immediately pull out their credit card or debit card and swipe it on ADDAbot’s arm – which is integrated with the ADDA Payment Gateway module.

Munnabhai Mode
When a Defaulter passes the gate, ADDAbot will present a Rose. Right after the Rose is passed on, the Rose will be invoiced at Rs.500 automatically to the Defaulter’s Flat. On February 14th and other such auspicious days the Rose will be charged at Rs.1000.

Chitti-turned-bad Mode
When the Defaulter’s car passes under the boom bar, the boom bar will drop randomly to scare the poor car passengers. We wish to give due Credit to a bunch of enthusiastic Committee Members in South Bombay for this brilliant idea. They are currently piloting this option and have got good results.
The above are just some of the features ADDAbot has. There is more which we will let you discover.
Launch Offer – Don’t miss it!
We are running an inaugural offer where you can get ADDAbot for a very low price of Rs.11,999 only – batteries not included. After the inaugural period, the standard price will be Rs.24,999 only.

I want one of these now. Where can I pre-order? I just hope it comes complete with a brain the size of a planet.
The best line – On February 14th and other such auspicious days…
:)))) agree with Akbar.. had me ROFL with the invoicing for the Rose..
Pls,Pls !
I don’t understand any thing Can some one explain simply?
this is surely April Fool article
Zarin, this is a robot that can work as the security guard for your complex. It does not need any salary, only battery charge.
Good idea..!
It would be good, if Apartment Adda gives demo to Addas who shows interest in this AddaBot.

Thank you, Had a good laugh !
Guess this is a joke. While I understand the intention, Extrapolating toys for real world activity seems far fetched to me.Seems like a fancy thing to me 🙂 Also the penalty methods etc. seem very kiddish. I get a feeling the guys who run the adda are obviously bunch of folks just out of college. Guys grow up. Don’t abuse technology and try to retrofit some toy (in all possiblities a chinese one) for a real world scenario, assuming you are really selling this 🙂
April fever it is. nothing more. 🙂
Thanks all for playing along. Here is the official back-to-reality announcement. http://goo.gl/PtBCR
I have a brain the size of a planet and they expect me to “special salute to mgmt committee members”. This whole thing is very depressing.
Sriram.
Ps nice work with the graphics
Ha ha..!! With the technology and engineering, nothing is impossible..
However, it’s very expensive to get this kind of robot..!
Did anybody imagine that we can fly in a plane before 100 years?
Imagination is good..!! If you can dream big, you can achieve some of the small things in your dream..!
Nice work..!! Prank – The Gooogle way…??
