
One of the primary goals of ADDA, as a product, has been to ensure reliable Communication between Owners, Tenants, and Community Management Teams within a Community.
This has also been the reason why ADDA is chosen as the Official Communication platform for thousands of Communities across the globe.
Presently, the main modes of Communication used by ADDA are Emails, App based Notifications / Messages, SMS.
Few ADDA users use a feature called Email Forum. As a part of this feature, when any conversation happens in ADDA, an email is sent to all members of the community with the full conversation details. Also, there is the option of starting new conversation from emails or replying to existing conversations from Email.
Email Forum based technologies and tools (like google groups, yahoo groups) presently hardly have much usage. Yahoo groups stands dissolved.
Whereas some communities are still extensive users of Email Forum – overall conversations using ADDA App have increased dramatically, because of the benefits which App based conversations provide, and Email Forum usage has been reducing. It has also been difficult to maintain this technology, with email providers slowly removing support for this type of features, and multiple other problems associated with this technology.
From ADDA, presently, we are having no choice but to remove features like replying to conversations or creating conversations from Email.
Presently several restrictions are also being put by Email providers to restrict bulk emails from going out. As email forums result in multiple bulk emailers going out, ADDA’s email providers have been recommending to reduce such emails.
ADDA is presently working on creating a robust email forum strategy which will abide by the best practices recommended by the email providers, as well as ensure reliable email delivery.
As Email remains an important means of communication for ADDA users, delivery of conversations via Emails is truly very important. However, most probably it will not be possible to send out real time emailers on every conversation. As an alternative, frequent conversation digests would be sent, providing full details of all the conversations which happened during a certain time period.
From ADDA, we would like to urge users to try adopting the ADDA App. Today App based conversations, among all age groups, have become the norm. Social media and conversation platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, have seen widespread acceptance across age groups.
Through the ADDA App, everything related to the Community, including Conversations, can be easily accessed. One would only find information related to their Community in the App. No Spam.
With the ADDA mobile App, participating in conversations becomes easier, as users get access to multiple advanced features – for example: Tagging neighbors, Replying to specific comments, edit/delete of posts, etc. These are not possible through emails.
ADDA has always been a pioneer when it comes to Community communications.
While some product changes are being made to abide by the best practices being recommended by the Email Providers, and also to keep in tune with the latest technology trends and best practices, rest assured that the ultimate goal – to ensure Convenient Community Communications, will not get compromised.
