The ADDA App already offers a dedicated Events section, where all upcoming events are neatly displayed as event cards. Residents can view all community events like workshops, celebrations, sports matches, and more — all in one place. This ensures everyone stays informed about what’s happening in the community without relying on scattered WhatsApp messages or offline posters. The Events section has been the central hub for discovering community events in the ADDA App.
However, as communities become more active, residents often seek a more structured and planning-friendly way to explore events.
They want to check what’s happening on a specific day, this week or this month, quickly scan weekends, view multiple events together, or even plan for the month.
To support this growing need for clarity and better planning, we’re introducing a powerful enhancement to the Events Module: Events Calendar View.
Introducing the New Events Calendar feature
This new calendar feature helps residents explore events day-wise and month-wise, making it easier than ever to:
- Check what’s happening on a particular date
- Track multiple events scheduled for the same day
- Browse weekends quickly and plan accordingly
- Plan weeks or months in advance
How the Events feature Works Together With Other ADDA Features
The Events Calendar doesn’t work alone — it becomes even more powerful when combined with other ADDA features that complete the community experience.
Albums: After an event, residents or admins can upload photos to Albums, keeping a visual record of everything happening in the community. These albums also help future residents see the vibrant culture and activities that define the community.
Community Forms: Community management teams, can make use of Community Forms to handle registrations for events like sports tournaments, workshops, or competitions.
For example, if your community is hosting a badminton tournament with a ₹200 participation fee (which may include a T-shirt, shuttlecocks, and other arrangements), the event management team can create a simple form inside ADDA to:
— Understand how many residents want to participate,
— Collect the participation fee directly through the app, and
— Confirm entries without any manual tracking or external tools
Polls: Community management teams can also use Polls to understand what events would really interest residents. Whether it’s choosing the next community workshop, selecting a movie for movie night, or deciding which sports tournament to host, Polls make it easy for everyone to share their preferences in just one tap. This helps admins plan events that residents actually look forward to,
