Softwares like Mygate and Nobroker persuaded innocent MCs to upload EVERY Owner and Tenant’s Contact Details on their site.
In exchange they gave FREE Association Management software, Devices etc.
MCs knew these softwares will send Ads and Spam to these Owners and Residents. MCs knew they had no control on the kind of Ads.
What followed were Ads including Real Estate, Insurance, Gambling..
Result: A number of MCs received Legal Notices to their Homes, from Owners for misusing their Information without their explicit consent. A Voluntary role became a Family Destroying Court Case.
What are MCs doing to safeguard themselves?
Communities are migrating their Association Management to ADDA and other Paid Softwares with Zero Ads and Zero Spam.
Some Communities continue their Visitor Management with Mygate or Nobroker, due to various reasons.
While doing so they safeguard themselves by making it voluntary for every Resident to download these Visitor Management apps.
The MCs or Association does not upload a whole excelsheet of Owners and Tenants contact details on these platforms.
