Why do you need this feature:
In every residential community, residents create multiple WhatsApp, telegram or facebook groups for different purposes – for block level updates, badminton squad, senior citizens group and more. But new residents or even long time residents, often remain unaware and struggle to find the right groups.
With our new feature, Any user can add and access these groups invite links in a centralized and organized manner within the ADDA App. Stay connected with your tribe anytime, anywhere.
Pain points we addressed:
- Delayed Access to Hobby Groups or Other Connects: Community living offers rich engagement opportunities, especially when residents connect over shared interests. Sports facilities, for instance, are best enjoyed with like-minded neighbors. However, many residents remain unaware of existing WhatsApp or other groups, leading to missed chances for connection and community bonding.
- Improper Access to Facilities: In large communities, many facilities often go unused because residents often struggle to find companions to use them with.

We designed this feature to streamline community engagement by providing a centralized space for residents to discover Community’s WhatsApp Groups. This feature ensures seamless connectivity, enhances resident engagement, leading to a more connected, and engaged neighborhood.

- Eliminates the manual task: Residents do not have to ask for group links. As all the groups are organized in one place. Now residents can connect and engage instantly with like- minded neighbours.
- Easy Access of groups: Newly joined Residents can access the relevant groups links quickly and join them easily.
How to use the Feature
Step 1: Scroll Down to “Community Whatsapp Group” section on ADDA App Home Page
Step 2: Add the group links or view groups that are already added.
Step 3: Fill in the necessary details and tap “Add”.

What’s Changing: Sunsetting the Groups from the ADDA Resident Portal
Previously, the Groups feature in ADDA allowed residents to create interest-based communities within the app to foster engagement. However, as technology and resident preferences continue to evolve, so does the way communities connect.
Today, residents prefer real-time, instant communication and WhatsApp has become the go-to platform for staying in touch, sharing updates, and building stronger bonds.
While we are bringing in WhatsApp and other Community groups into ADDA, we are planning to sunset the existing Groups feature from the Resident Portal. This feature will no longer be available from June 2nd, 2025.
